2 Insert the new transfer charging roller and gear assembly by

placing its tip in the roller slot and pushing the roller down

until it’s correctly positioned in the printer.

3 Reinsert the toner cartridge.

4 Connect the power cord and turn the printer on.

Keep the following in mind when replacing the feed and retard rollers:

 All feed and retard rollers (four for the printer and two for the

optional paper deck) are identical in appearance and functionality.

Use this procedure to replace the feed and retard rollers for both the

upper and lower cassettes. Replace all four rollers at the same time,

even if only some are worn out. Do not mix new and old rollers.

»Note:

The feed and retard rollers are located in the same area of the

cassette compartment for both the upper and lower cassettes.
